Adrien Maillard
Official Bio
Dr. Adrien Maillard is a member of technical staff in the Artificial Intelligence Group, Planning and Execution Section, of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology.
Dr. Maillard holds a Diplôme d’Ingénieur from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Toulouse (INSA) awarded in 2012 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from ISAE Supaero/Université de Toulouse awarded in 2015.
Before JPL, he has worked with CNES (the French National Space Agency), ONERA, GMV, and Charles University on a range of topics including space mission scheduling, theoretical AI planning, rover navigation, and flight dynamics.
At JPL, Dr. Maillard participated in building a mission scheduler for NASA’s AMMOS program. He also participated in the Surface, Deformation and Change study part of NASA’s decadal survey and he contributed to ongoing scheduling software development in CLASP for the EMIT and NISAR missions.
Dr. Maillard’s research interests are in automated planning and scheduling, heuristic search, operations research, and autonomy.
